Target audience
Clinicians and translational scientists in academia, industry and regulatory agencies interested in immunoassessment of trials with biologics and immune based therapeutics.
Content
This symposium is designed to present new approaches to the assessment of immunologic responses. The first half will focus on emerging technologies to analyze host responses in active disease. Novel biomarkers, array technologies and advanced flow cytometric methods will be discussed. The second half will focus on efficacy analyses of targeted immunologic interventions. Novel analytical tools will be discussed and approaches to surrogate markers will be presented. This symposium will present cutting edge strategies for those involved in clinical trials or translational immunology.
Objectives
The objectives of this Satellite are to gain an understanding of approaches for immunoassessment of patients with active disease; gain an understanding of approaches to immunoassessment of interventional clinical trials; and provide an overview of good laboratory practices and approaches for establishing and validating immunologic assays for endpoint analysis in trials.
