Applicants should be pediatricians, internists, or scientists committed to the clinical management of patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases. Candidates may have backgrounds in immunology, adult medicine, rheumatology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, laboratory immunology, or allergy/immunology, among others.

For fellows and junior faculty considering a career in immunology, this is an excellent opportunity to crystallize your knowledge and to further your knowledge around primary immunodeficiencies, the diagnosing of such disorders, and optimal management strategies. The Summer School offers an unparalleled opportunity to interact with leaders in the field and to network with your colleagues, both junior and senior.
Accepted fellows will be provided with travel grants to assist with airfare, hotel, and meal expenses. The language of the School will be in English and greater consideration for the selected participants will be from North America, South America and Central America.
CIS is looking for a case report including those which can be presented as a mystery for discussion purposes, but should have a final diagnosis. Cases with management dilemmas which could be discussed are acceptable as are completed research projects germane to the field of primary immune deficiency. As in years past, CIS is accepting applications for a select number of observers to attend the Summer School. Observers are individuals who are typically mid-to-late career and are looking for an opportunity to expand their knowledge of primary immunodeficiencies. Selected observers are invited to attend the Summer School and participate in all large and small group discussions.
Observers will be required to pay for their own lodging and transportation to Ft. Lauderdale. Meals are included for all observers.
