Virtual 10th Annual William T. Shearer Lectureship

The Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology Division at Texas Children’s Hospital, invites you to be their guest at the virtual 10th Annual William T. Shearer Lectureship.


 
On Friday, February 11th  at 8:30am Central Time via Zoom, Dr. M. Louise Markert, Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at Duke University, principal Investigator for pioneering work developing the only FDA-approved therapy for congenital athymia, will give her lecture on “Allogeneic Processed Thymus Tissue-agdc (APTT) as Treatment for Patients with Congenital Athymia Previously called ‘Cultured Thymus Tissue Implantation’” at the Virtual Texas Children’s William T. Shearer Grand Rounds.


 
After the virtual Grand Rounds, Dr. Lisa Forbes Satter will speak on “New Frontiers in Immunology: The Era of Targeted Therapy for Inborn Errors of Immunity” followed by a Special A&I Fellows’ Difficult Case Presentation: A Thymic Mystery by Vibha Szafron, MD.

 

Registration is free. The Zoom links will be distributed to registrants. The first hour with Dr. Markert is part of Texas Children's Hospital Grand Rounds, which providers can receive 1 hour CME.
