CIS is now accepting nominations for two exciting leadership roles:

  • One Councilor (3-year term)
    • CIS is accepting nominations for one Councilor position. All nominations will be evaluated by the CIS Nominating Committee for final determination of the 2026 election ballot.
  • NEW - One appointed Junior Councilor (2-year term)
    • This is a unique opportunity for early-career professionals to contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the Society while gaining valuable experience in governance and community engagement. Applicants/Nominees for this position will be reviewed by the CIS Council for appointment. Learn more about this exciting opportunity below!

Please know that CIS welcomes all interested candidates to self-nominate. It is not uncommon for candidates for all CIS positions to be nominated for multiple years before election or appointment to the position of interest.

New - Appointed Junior Council Member

In response to member feedback, CIS is excited to offer a unique opportunity for early-career professionals to contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the Society while gaining valuable experience in governance and community engagement.

The Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) invites expressions of interest for an appointed Junior Council Member position on the CIS Council. Based on the CIS Bylaws, it is the prerogative of the CIS Council to appoint up to two additional Councilors for two-year terms. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Regular Member of CIS.
  • Be within 5 years of completing a post-doctoral or clinical fellowship, or residency program at the time of application.
  • Hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent academic degree.
  • Be actively engaged in research or clinical practice in the field of clinical immunology.
  • Have made scholarly contributions as defined by the CIS Council.
  • Represent the international scientific community with a specialty or interest in clinical immunology.
  • Be actively engaged in the activities and advancement of the Clinical Immunology Society.

Term of Service:

The appointed Junior Council Member will serve a two-year term and will participate in Council meetings and activities, contributing to the advancement of CIS’s mission and initiatives.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit a nomination through the link below. Qualifying candidates will receive a Willingness to Serve form and must include a brief statement of interest, a current CV, and a letter of support from a CIS member or mentor. All submissions will be reviewed for consideration by the CIS Council with a determination made by March 22nd.

We strongly encourage applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and geographic regions to ensure broad perspective within the Council.

Only CIS members in good standing may be considered for Council positions. Your nomination will be verified upon submission.
